Peter and I (Eric) started this blog back in May with a pretty simple goal: to cover the latest news, results and discussions about the Melbourne Victory.
Over time, traffic to the blog has grown, as has the number of subscribers. To all those of you who have subscribed, commented on entries, or just popped around to read what we’ve written, thank you. It’s much more fun writing stuff when you know someone’s going to read it!
Since the season is just about over, I thought it would be a good time to invite some feedback from you about MVFC Blog.
We’d love to hear what you like about the blog, what areas we could improve in, and if there are any things you’d like to see us do on MVFC Blog in the future.

Its funny how we both started our blogs on the Victory at similar times. Keep up the good work.

Keep up the good work. Its very handy to have links to all relevant articles in the media.
I think it’s really good, only discovering this place a few days ago because I got cut off from mv.net (my browser can’t pick up the server) and this has everything I need. Has all the goals, news round-ups from everywhere and it’s easy to navigate.
My main problem is simple: not enough content!
Here are some random, bullet-point ideas:
– An article each week about the “rest” of the A-League would be nice (comment on each team’s recent form, etc.)
– A subjective “Power Rankings” system for current MVFC players, where you rate the (5?) recent performances of each player (1-10). Update this weekly with commentary.
- More opinion pieces. Your previews and wrap-ups are great, but an extra editorial each week (not necessarily about the game) would be entertaining and interesting.
That’s a couple off the top of my head. Keep up the great work!

Josh, great tips. Will definitely be thinking about how we can incorporate some of your suggestions. I like the Power Rankings thing. Obviously that’s too late for this season, but will see how we can incorporate that next season.
