Thoroughly deserved win for both players. Vargas, without question was our best defender all season and a great leader. Thompson, I think also was a deserved winner. Week in, week out he put in tireless performances trying to lift those around him. It was a pity that for most of the season he didn't get the support he required. Theoklitos can probably count himself unlucky as he kept us in many a game and also lead well. Its a conspiracy against goalkeepers, they never win anything, believe me I can speak from experience.

The award for Broxham was a bit of a surprise considering the form of Ryall when he played. Broxham was too inconsistent for my liking and too quick to dive in with the tackle. Ryall was outstanding in all games he played and stamped himself on the starting XI. Should have won it by a mile.

Theo definitely unlucky. Vargas I think should of won it last year and Thompson was very lucky to get where he did with his goal talley - lots of effort but I didn't think he pulled in that last few inches to be our best (our equal best) player.

Theo a bit stiff. Even though Archie tried, he simply didn't score enough goals to win the award, and yes he did have plenty of opportunities. Roddy deserved his medal.

it only shows that the awards are biassed, thats one of the key reasons fred left last year from what i heard. although all or most players were deserving of what they won there were others that should have got a look in and by camparing resaults you can see that clear as day.
