That would be pretty cool.
Juve in Melbourne will get a big crowd. If the rumours are true, Harry Kewell may be playing for Juve by that stage. I don’t know how many big names will come with Juve given it’s close to Euro 2008.
They will probably be missing two or three players but Juve is still Juve and a big crowd should turn out.
I believe the match will actually be on Wed 28th which is one week after we play Chonburi in the final of our ACL round of games. Lets hope we come off a good win against Chonburi and then we will see not only the players pumped up for the match but also the media with a positive MVFC news week to get behind the team.
If Juve do come out, does that mean that Buffon will not come out due to Euro 2008 Commitments with Italia?
MV.net has crashed… But no Buffon, Van Stratten expected to start, is far from a ‘let down’ ecspecially when Salihamidzic, Nedved and others will also come. They have some FANTASTIC youngsters too
I can’t believe this… The club i supported before Melbourne came along… this is a dream come true
I hear the tickets are pricey, disappointing.

Where can you purchase tickets from?
i think that it might be the under 21 playing with a few senior players, because it is very close to euro 08′.
whoo… that’s expensive for a friendly game. Hope that this type of pricing doesn’t make it unaffordable and then deters the ‘unconverted’ from coming along. The more affordable it is the more ‘neutrals’ will come along and so the profile of the game will continue to grow. That needs to be a focus for friendly games.
out of interest how much was sydney V galaxy?
Prices for Galaxy game, which let me add I thought were still expensive were:
Category A: Adult – $85
Category B: Adult – $60; Concession – $30; Family – $120
Category C: Adult – $40; Concession – $20; Family – $80.
As you can see the Juventus prices are well up there and much more expensive especially when you consider concession and family, which lets be realistic is and will be the driving force to growing crowd numbers at games. It is not you and I who have loved teams like Juventus since we were knee high to a grasshopper and names like Dino Zoff, Paolo Rossi, Boniek, Cabrini and Michele Platini were our idols. The only reason galaxy game was sold out was one name only – Beckham. The thing about Beckham even if you love, hate or indifferent about the beautiful game everyone knows Becks! If you put Del Piero as the marketing poster boy for a friendly, then it is clear this game is well overpriced. Saying that I will still be going, but I am not the kind of fan that needs convincing it those out there preparing to decide between MVFC vs Juventus or Essendon vs Collingwood!
If you go see an international band like Muse or Red Hot Chilli Peppers you would be paying 100 + for a general admission ticket.
I for one can see the value in an $85 top class ticket. Family ticket starting at $90 is a bargin.
I am still yet to decide who to support, the club I support every week or the one that I aspire MVFC to be?
support both! either way just enjoy whoever plays well…be happy u are seeing the quality of Juventus Vs the developing home team.
Much like the Aus V Argentina match, i did not care who won just seeing argentina bring a strong squad and big names made me happy, yet the aussies having a real crack made it worth while.
Same with this game!
the only proble is that star players will not coming due to commintment to Euro 2008
still is one of the best team in Europe
go check it and enjoy yourself with hemisphere
