Matthew Kemp hasn’t had the greatest run with Victory fans since moving to Melbourne. His excellent form in the ACL has probably won him a few more admirers, but I think a little creativity from the sidelines could turn the bald-headed fullback into a crowd favourite: try this, Kempy.

Are we the worst supporters in the land?

Last week I was wandering around some of the other A-League clubs’ forums and found a forum post entitled “The Worst Supporters in the Land” on the Perth Glory’s forum.

To quote directly from there:

“Well, we certainly have come full circle.

Once upon a time we had the best team in the land with the most vocal and passionate supporters.

Now we’re bottom of the league with, what are without question, the worst supporters in the country.

Profile: Matthew Kemp

It’s strange to see Matthew Kemp in Victory garb – stranger than it was to see Adrian Caceres with Melbourne after he came over from Perth. But when it comes to inter-club rivalries, the Melbourne-Perth one pales in comparison to the rivalry between Adelaide United and the Victory. So to have Matthew Kemp – a regular fixture for Adelaide in its past two seasons – sporting the Melbourne Victory outfit, is something that takes a little getting used to.

That said, Melbourne fans should be excited about having Kemp on board. Here’s why:
